Oscars 2020 Will Be Hostless for Second Year in a Row

The 92nd Academy Awards ceremony will have no host for a second year in a row due to last year’s success.

Karey Burke, the entertainment president for ABC, made the announcement before the Television Critics Association’s winter press tour in Pasadena.

“Let me confirm it now, together with the Academy, that there will be no traditional host this year, repeating for us what worked last year,” Burke said, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The Academy saw a rare ratings uptick for the 2019 ceremony in comparison to the previous year which hit an all-time low in viewers with Jimmy Kimmel hosting the event.

The 92nd Academy Awards will be held Sunday, February 9th on ABC.
